Groups sponsor one-day wellness event for kids, parents

Two ArkLaTex groups have joined in an effort to inform local youth and their parents about the wellness-centered resources Shreveport has to offer.

The Center for Families and F.R.E.E. are partnering up to bring local youth and their families together in a free one-day event from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at The Salvation Army Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Shreveport.

This event is called Living Local Youth Wellness Day and it is a creative collaboration of local agencies and volunteers coming together to provide an interactive, educational, and fun day for Shreveport-Bossier Youth ages 6-18.

Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation's Athletics Department announces that its registration deadline extension for 2013 youth t-b all, machine pitch, softball and baseball leagues for girls and boys age 4-12 (age cutoff is March 31 of the current year.)
