at the Minority Business Opportunity Awards Dinner.

Join us in honoring these outstanding businesses and individuals from our community at the Minority Business
Awards Dinner, “Navigating Economic Tides”, starting with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb., 28. Dinner will be held at the Shreveport Convention Center, Shreveport, LA. Individual tickets are $50 and table

Shreveport getting ready for Youth Baseball

The Athletic Department for Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation (SPAR) is getting ready for the upcoming baseball season.

 There will be leagues for Youth T-Ball, Machine Pitch, Softball and Baseball. They're open to all children between the ages of 4 - 10-years-old. The age cut-off is March 31. Ball play will begin on Monday, April 13.

Black History Month will be celebrated from 2 to 5 p.m.. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Galilee Baptist Church C. C. Baird Family Life Center, 1500 Pierre Avenue in Shreveport.

The Read-In is free and open to the public.
