Blood pressure tests available at Chris Hays Community Center | Community Spirit

The monthly blood pressure screening at the Chris Hays Community Center, 4300 Illinois St., will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 24. Ms. Karen Barnes, RN, MSN, CCRN of the Shreveport Black Nurses’ Association will perform the screenings.

High blood pressure is a major killer and can lead to heart disease, kidney failure and stroke. Testing is free of charge.  The general public is invited and encouraged to attend.  Light refreshments will be served.
