Water main break to shutdown McNeill Pumping Station | Business

Shreveport's McNeill Pumping Station will be shut down at 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 19 so crews can fix a broken water main.

According to a release from the city's Department of Water and Sewerage, the shutdown is needed to repair one of the water mains along North Common Street. The pumping station is expected to be off-line for eight - 10 hours.

Residents and businesses affected by the shutdown will be notified on Friday. It's also possible the downtown area will see lower water pressures.

If you have a serious drop in water pressure, you're asked to call the city's Service Center at 673-7600.
