Police need help finding suspect who robbed hotel guest

Shreveport Police are asking for the public's help in finding the two men who robbed a west Shreveport hotel guest Wednesday night.
Police say about 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the La Quinta Inn in the 6700 block of Financial Circle. Witnesses told police as a hotel guest was walking to his room, he was approached by two men who were hanging out in the back of the parking lot.

Youths in SPAR weight lifting program earn medals at Junior Olympics

Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation (SPAR) weight lifting program, located at Bilberry Park Community Center, had four youth weightlifters to compete in the recent AAU Junior Olympics Games in New Orleans. All four of the participants earned a medal.

LifeShare asking for donations as blood supply runs low

LifeShare Blood Centers is asking the public for blood donations because their current blood supply is running low.

"We are calling on the public to help save lives," said LifeShare spokesperson Libby Murphy. "There is no substitute for human blood, and patients in local medical facilities need the public’s help."

LifeShare issued the reminder for the public to donate blood, citing the continual need for providing blood for patient use on a daily basis.

Shreveport-built car to go on display at LA State Exhibit Museum

Shreveport-built car to go on display at LA State Exhibit Museum

A car built in Shreveport in the early 1920's will go on display Tuesday evening at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum.

The 1921 Model 21-S Bour-Davis Motor Car was built by the Louisiana Motor Car Company. The Ark-La-Tex Antique and Classic Car Association has worked on restoring the car for the past 20 years. It's the only known Model 21-S car still in existence.
